Hundreds of residents in Ibite-Olo and neighbouring communities in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State trooped out on Monday, 8 December 2025, as the Ideal-Life Touching Foundation held its 2025 annual medical outreach in the rural community.
The one-day programme, the fourth in the series but the first to be hosted in Ibite-Olo, took place inside a school building within the premises of St. Andrew’s Catholic Parish. Beneficiaries, comprising the elderly, youths and children from different religious backgrounds, received comprehensive eye screening, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, health education, free consultation, free drugs and free medicated eyeglasses.
Many aged persons who had not checked their health status in years were among those attended to, underscoring the lifeline the outreach provided to indigent villagers who rarely have access to medical care.
News of the free treatment spread like wildfire. Beneficiaries who were attended to early, ran back to the villages to inform others, leading to a surge in turnout as residents from nearby communities also joined the queue.
The medical team had arrived a day earlier, after hosting the outreach in the neighbouring villages, to prepare the ground for the exercise.
Speaking at the event, the Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Parish, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ozorgwu, expressed profound joy that Ibite-Olo was chosen as the 2025 host community.
“I am full of praises to God and to the Ideal-Life Touching Foundation for extending this medical outreach to my parish. This will be a succour to many who have no means to go to hospital,” Fr. Ozorgwu said.
He thanked the foundation and prayed for God’s blessings upon the benefactor, while providing church seats and ensured the smooth running of the programme.
Beneficiaries could not hide their gratitude as well.
Mrs. Regina Nweke, who received several drugs free of charge, told The Choice Flame Newspaper: “I am very happy. This outreach is indeed fruitful. May God bless them.”
Mr. Tochukwu Bonny Anidiobi, another beneficiary, said he was “overwhelmed by the level of medical services rendered.”
“It is not easy to give drugs and eyeglasses free in this hard economy. The seriousness attached to this outreach was further shown when the town crier was sent round to announce it. May God continue to bless the founder and the entire team,” he added.
Mr. Michael Chibunine, a retired truck driver with Nigerian Breweries, described the outreach as “life-saving” and prayed for divine blessings on the foundation.
The Ideal Life Touching Foundation has promised to sustain the annual medical mission, with plans already underway to reach more rural communities in 2026.
In sum, it was a wonderful initiative by the Ideal Life Touching Foundation! The 2025 Medical Outreach in Ibite-Olo, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State, clearly made a meaningful impact, bringing essential healthcare services directly to the community.
Kudos to Ideal Life Touching Foundation and the medical team for their dedication and service. Outreach programs like this are lifelines for rural areas. May they continue to touch many more lives in 2025 and beyond! 🙏❤️
