Pope Leo XIV made a brief but meaningful stop at the Monastery of the Carmelite Sisters of the Theotokos in Harissa on Sunday evening, shortly after meeting with Lebanon’s civil authorities.
The Holy See Press Office said the Pope personally greeted each of the sisters before meeting the community superiors. In his remarks, he highlighted three virtues at the heart of their contemplative vocation: humility, prayer, and sacrifice.
The visit lasted about 30 minutes and concluded with the recitation of the Our Father, after which Pope Leo imparted his Apostolic Blessing on the contemplative community.
