Pope Leo XIV concluded his visit to the care home for the elderly run by the Little Sisters of the Poor in Istanbul by signing the institution’s guest book and offering a special blessing.
The Pope wrote: “I warmly bless this home with all its residents, and in a special way the Little Sisters of the Poor for their service here and their witness to all.”
He also blessed a commemorative plaque marking the occasion, expressing gratitude for the sisters’ dedication and reaffirming the Church’s commitment to honoring and caring for the elderly.
