APOSTOLIC NUNCIO TO NIGERIA THANKS DELEGATES OF THE FOURTH ENUGU SYNOD

Just before the Gala Night of the Synod came to an end yesterday evening, the delegates were greeted with the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria, Most Rev. Michael Francis Crotty, who walked in accompanied by the diocesan Bishop, Most Rev. C.V.C. Onaga and his Auxiliary, Most Rev. Ernest Obodo and the Chairman of the Synod Preparatory Commission (SPC), Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke.

He thanked the delegates for the work they did within the week of the synod. “I wanted to leave you with one or two words. But if I were to limit it to two words, it is to say thank you. Thank you for the great works you have been doing this week,” he said.

He acknowledged the profound opportunity of the delegates who were representatives of the church and the people of God, and most importantly the family which is the domestic church.

He expressed joy that the synod will be concluded with the ordination of candidates to the priesthood saying that, “vocations are the fruits of the strength of faith in a church.”

He called on all to be more faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. He noted that the synod is all about becoming better Christians, better parents, better priests, better religious.
