Suspected Boko Haram Fighters Attack Pemi Village, Church Destroyed. Terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram fighters carried out a late-night attack on Pemi village in Chibok Local Government Area, Borno State, destroying a church before being repelled by troops from Operation HADIN KAI.
According to a local resident, Zariyi Yusuf, the assault marks yet another violent incident targeting the Christian community in Chibok — the same area that gained global attention in 2014 following the abduction of schoolgirls by Boko Haram.
