Pope Leo XIV encourages participants in a Vatican organised conference to help ensure that Artificial intelligence does not replace interpersonal relationships in the field of healthcare

The Pontifical Academy for Life has organized an international congress dedicated to “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Medicine: The Challenge of Human Dignity,” which takes place on November 10-12, 2025.

As the meeting began on Monday, Pope Leo XIV sent a message to participants, offering his “prayerful good wishes” for their deliberations about the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

He further encouraged that we should not give artificial intelligence a chance to replace interpersonal relationships in the field of healthcare.
