Life of the Saints

Saint of the day: St. Mary Eugenie of Jesus.

Born into a wealthy French family in 1817, Anne-Eugenie Milleret de Brou seemed destined for a life of luxury. However, after a profound spiritual experience at age 12, she felt an irresistible call to serve God.

Defying her family’s opposition, Anne-Eugénie dedicated her life to educating young girls and spreading the Gospel. In 1839, she co-founded the Religious of the Assumption, a Catholic order that would become her life’s work.
