Pope Francis Thanks Faithful for Prayers Amid Health Struggles

Pope Francis has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of prayers for his recovery, as he continues receiving treatment for pneumonia at Gemelli Hospital in Rome.

A Message of Gratitude

In a message recorded in Spanish, the Pope thanked the faithful, saying:
“I thank you with all my heart for the prayers you offer for my health from St. Peter’s Square. I accompany you from here. May God bless you, and may the Virgin protect you. Thank you.”

His message was broadcast at 9 PM (Rome time) in St. Peter’s Square at the start of the Rosary prayer, which was led by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and the Societies of Apostolic Life.

United in Prayer for the Pope

Since Monday, 24 February, thousands of believers have gathered in St. Peter’s Square to recite the Holy Rosary for Pope Francis’ health. They have been joined by Cardinals residing in Rome, members of the Roman Curia, and the Diocese of Rome, demonstrating a profound sense of unity and spiritual support.
