The Auxiliary Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Ernest Obodo, today presided over the dedication of the Parish Church and the blessing of the Parish Rectory of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Iva Valley, Enugu.
The event marked the successful completion of the church building and rectory, a testament to the dedication and collaborative efforts of the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Chukwuemeka Onyeriri, and the parishioners.
In his homily during the dedication Mass, Bishop Obodo commended the parish for their unwavering faith, unity, and commitment to the growth of the Church. He emphasized the significance of such structures as sacred spaces for worship and a reflection of the people’s devotion to God.
Speaking on behalf of the parishioners, Rev. Fr. Onyeriri expressed gratitude to God and the faithful for their sacrifices and contributions. He acknowledged the challenges faced during the project and celebrated the unity and resilience that brought the vision to fruition.
