In a powerful display of faith and resilience, the Catholic Diocese of Enugu today witnessed its October Rosary Procession, led by the Bishop, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga. Marking the final for the year. Reminiscing on a year riddled with crises, the faithful marched in unity, their prayers echoed through the streets in a profound plea for divine intervention.
With Nigeria teetering on the brink of socio-economic collapse and insecurity at an all-time high, the faithful presented their urgent intentions to God, seeking peace, security, and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Nigeria. As they clutched their rosaries, their hearts were burdened not only by the state of the nation but also by their personal struggles and the hope that heaven would hear their cries.
The procession, a major spiritual event in the diocese, took place simultaneously across all deaneries, uniting thousands in a show of unwavering devotion. The rally was not just a ritual but a symbolic reminder of the power the faithful hold in their hands the Rosary.
Addressing the crowd, Dr. Evaristus Offia, Director of Rosary is the Answer Team, delivered a provocative call to arms. “We are facing insurmountable problems, but Our Lady consistently reminds us to take up our Rosary,” he urged. “The Rosary is not just a prayer; it’s the power of God in our hands. It is the weapon of the Blessed Trinity!” His words ignited a spark of hope, pushing the faithful to believe that their prayers could indeed shape the fate of the nation.
Bishop Onaga echoed this sentiment, passionately urging the people to take their Rosary devotion more seriously, calling it the “only assured remedy” to the plethora of challenges plaguing the country.
