Today, February 10th, the Enugu Diocese embarked on a significant religious event, the first Solemn Prayer Rosary Rally of the year. Led by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, the rally took place simultaneously across all six deaneries within the diocese.

Amidst a backdrop of multifaceted challenges facing the nation, the rosary rally aimed to petition God for peace and security in the country, while also preparing the faithful for the upcoming 2024 Lenten season.

In his Homily, Bishop Onaga emphasized the importance of praying for divine intervention in the hearts of the nation’s leaders, urging genuine repentance for the betterment of the people. Specifically, prayers were offered for the guidance and wisdom of Governor’s leadership in Enugu, alongside petitions for the security of lives and property.

Reflecting on the significance of the procession, Bishop Onaga highlighted its role in fostering humility and resilience, drawing parallels with Jesus’ teachings.
