Bimbo Ademoye, Falz, Daddy Freeze, others bag social media awards

Falz the Bad Guy, a well-known activist and musician from Nigeria, has won the 2023 Social Media Awards (SMA) for greatest use of social media in a crisis.

The most active actress on social media was identified as Bimbo Ademoye, and the most active actor was identified as Stan Nze.

The goal of the 2023 Nigerian Social Media Awards, which were presented on Tuesday in Lagos, was to recognize remarkable accomplishments across a variety of social media channels.

Various honors were given out in recognition of achievements in social media brand interaction, content production, influencer categories, and audience engagement.

The finest social media influencer of the year award went to Simply Tacha, and the most engaging on-air personality on social media went to Daddy Freeze.

Rufai Oseni, a well-known journalist for Arise Television, was recognized as the most engaging journalist online, while Morayo Afolabi-Brown was recognized as the most engaging TV anchor online and Arise News was recognized as the most engaging TV station online.

While praising the recipients’ efforts to use social media to stay special, the award’s organizer and Chief Executive Officer of Alternative Adverts Ltd, Emmanuel Nwafor, stated:

“We hope that the award will encourage those into nefarious activities on social media to see a reason to use it for good with the hope of being recognised one day.

“The winners announced today are based on the online voting done from July 1 to Aug. 31 after the auditioning and nomination processes.”
