The Labour Party Enugu State Presidential Campaign Coordinator, Prince Emeka Mamah (IDE), has charged the faithful, particularly Catholics, to go ahead and campaign vigorously in the upcoming election in February and March for the best candidates as presented by the Labour Party.
He described the growing popularity and wide acceptability of Peter Obi’s candidacy as a Divine Providence, having been denied ticket by people he described as the so-called big parties who rather went ahead to give their tickets to candidates with questionable capacity to lead the country.
Prince Emeka went on to advise Christians across the country not to shy away from the atrocities currently taking place in the country with the excuse that they are not partisan, but rather to get involved in order to help rescue the country from the current quagmire it has found herself in.
According to him, recently, a Catholic priest was murdered in a gruesome manner, and little was heard from Catholics about this heinous crime. He has, however, charged both Christians and Catholics in the country who he believes will vote in large numbers, to address the issues as the election approaches.
He also urged Christians to continue raising awareness by encouraging people to collect their Permanent Voters Cards, as INEC plans to end the collection process this week.
