COVID-19: Enugu State Govt. partners with CWO, others in distributing palliatives to the poor

As the reality of the ravaging COVID 19 pandemic continues to bite harder, the Enugu State Gorvernor , His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has donated paliatives to the poorest of poor through different women organs of the church.
It was the turn of the women from the Anglican Communion and Catholic Church on the 13th of May 2020.
Flanked by The Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly and Deputy Chairman Emergency and Paliative Committee Enugu State on COVID-19 Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi , Secratary of the Committe , Hon commissioner for Inter Ministerial , Commissioner of Finance among others, the Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Barr. Mrs Cecilia Ezilo welcomed the women and told them that the Governor feels their pain and so the need for the palliative.

Presenting the items which include 300 bags of 50kg Rice,300 bags of Semovita, 50 Gallons of Vegetable oil, 180 cartoons of tomatoes, 100 cartoons of Noodles and 2000 pieces of face masks, Her Excellency the Deputy Governor asked the women to make sure that they sensitize the women even more since it is obvious alot of them still don’t know much about this Pandemic.

While thanking the Governor, the President of Catholic Women Organization of Nigeria, (CWON), Barr. Mrs. Cecilia Nwanneka Okolo thanked His Excellency for his generosity while making a promise that the items will get to the people it is meant for .
